NEW YORK (AP) -- Luke Harangody had 19 points and 14 rebounds to
lead Notre Dame to a 68-59 win over Kansas State tonight in the
Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.
Kyle McAlarney had 18 points for the Fighting Irish (6-2).
The Wildcats (5-3) cut an 11-point deficit to 61-59 on two free
throws by Michael Beasley with 1:47 left.
Beasley had 19 points and 13 rebounds for his eighth
double-double but scored just two points in the second half.
Harangody scored 11 of Notre Dame's first 13 points.
Bill Walker had 14 points for the Wildcats, who lost 80-77 to
No. 19 Oregon last week.
