Michael Beasley had 30 points and
10 rebounds last night but didn't get much help as Kansas State
lost to George Mason 87-77.
The Patriots (4-0) took advantage of Beasley's foul trouble by
pulling away during stretches when the 6-foot-10 Wildcat freshman
was sitting on the bench.
George Mason -- which made a surprising trip to the Final Four
two years ago -- led 39-30 at halftime and built that lead to as
many as 15 after intermission. John Vaughan led the Patriots with
21 points, while Folarin Campbell and Will Thomas each had 18.
Jacob Pullen scored 14 points and Bill Walker had 11 for
18th-ranked Kansas State (3-1).
