Kyle Broyles, son of Pittsburg St. football coach, found dead

PITTSBURG, Kan. (AP) -- The son of Pittsburg State head football
coach Chuck Broyles was found dead in his Wichita apartment
yesterday.
Kyle Broyles was 28. Wichita police have not released the cause
of death.
Broyles played for two years for his father at Pittsburg State
before a knee injury in 1999 ended his playing career.
Visitation is set for Sunday at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg,
with the funeral at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the
Nazarene.

Broyles' death is the third tragic blow to the university's
athletics department in the last five months.
Lineman Sean Kyle died in a construction accident June 19th.
A month later, associate athletic director Tommy Riggs died of a
heart attack.
