KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Brodie Croyle says he has a few
butterflies as the prepares for his first start at quarterback.
He faces a major challenge as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the
Colts and Peyton Manning in Indianapolis on Sunday.
The Colts are coming off two straight losses, and Manning threw
six interceptions against San Diego last week.
And Croyle will be directing an offense that has struggled all
year and is currently ranked 30th in a 32-team league.
Coach Herm Edwards says this isn't the time or place he would
have chosen to break in a young quarterback -- but that's football,
he says.
Croyle was 17-for-30 for 162 yards and one interception in
relief of Damon Huard in the Chiefs' loss to Denver on Sunday.
