MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas State tries to prepare for
sixth-ranked Missouri, a week after the Wildcats suffered a blowout
loss to Nebraska.
The 73-31 loss was the most points Kansas State has given up
since 1971.
Worse yet, Nebraska came in with a five-game losing streak.
Still worse, Nebraska attacked the Wildcats' strength -- their
pass defense -- and rolled up 510 yards through the air and seven
passing TDs.
Kansas State is 5-5 overall, 3-3 in the Big 12, and still trying
to gain bowl eligibility.
Missouri is 9-1 overall, 5-1 in the conference, and ranked in
the top seven in the nation in passing offense, total offense and
scoring offense.
