LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas coach Mark Mangino thought his team
would be good this year, but he didn't think it would be undefeated
with three weeks left in the regular season.
The Jayhawks are fourth in the BCS standings and fifth in The
Associated Press poll.
To make it to the BCS championship game, Kansas would have to
win the rest of its regular-season games and win the Big 12
championship.
That would include a win over seventh-ranked Missouri in Kansas
City on November 24th.
Linebacker James Holt says it would be exciting to be the first
Kansas team to play in a BCS bowl game.
The Jayhawks first have to get past Oklahoma State this weekend.
Last year, Adarius Bowman caught 13 passes for 300 yards and
four touchdowns in leading the Cowboys to a come-from-behind win in
Lawrence.
