No. 8 Kansas stays unbeaten with 76-39 rout of Nebraska

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Dominating the once-mighty Nebraska like
never before, Todd Reesing threw a school-record six touchdown
passes and Number Eight Kansas battered Nebraska 76-to-39 today.
The win keeps the surprising Jayhawks in the national
championship picture.
The unbeaten Jayhawks (9-0, 5-0 Big 12) scored touchdowns on ten
straight possessions and rolled up the most points ever scored
against Nebraska in its 117-year football history.
Reesing's also broke a school single-season record throwing his
23 touchdown pass.
Brandon McAnderson ran for 119 yards and tied a school record
with four rushing TDs.
Kansas had lost 37 of 38 to Nebraska.
The average score from 1971-to-2000 was 47-and-7 and only once
since 1974 had Kansas even come into the game with the better
record.
