K-State eyes bowl eligibility against Iowa State

AMES, Iowa (AP) -- Iowa State is looking to spoil Kansas State's
shot at a bowl game when the Wildcats visit Ames tomorrow.
K-State needs one victory to be bowl eligible. But coach Ron
Prince says six wins might not be enough.
The Big 12 has ties with seven bowls and an automatic spot in
the Bowl Championship Series. Nine teams, including Kansas State
(5-3, 3-2 Big 12), have already won five games.
That makes tomorrow's game against the Cyclones (1-8, 0-5)
critical for the Wildcats.
Iowa State, which looked terrible in its first three conference
games, has dramatically improved in the last two weeks in games
against Oklahoma and Missouri, both Top 25 teams.
The matchup to watch tomorrow will be Kansas State star wide
receiver Jordy Nelson against Iowa State's secondary, which is 74th
in the nation in pass defense.
