LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas coach Mark Mangino says he has lots
of new friends now that the Jayhawks are 7-0 and ranked 12th in the
If they win this week at Texas A&M, they'll be 8-0 for the first
time since 1906.
Mangino says he tells the players that they should have the same
friends today that they had a year ago.
The Jayhawks beat Kansas State in Manhattan for the first time
since 1989. Then they won at Colorado, which gave number four
Oklahoma its only loss.
Now it's on to Texas A&M, which has beaten Kansas seven times in
a row and has never lost to the Jayhawks at home.
Heading to A&M, the Jayhawks are second nationally in scoring
defense, third in scoring offense, first in kickoff returns and
fourth in turnover margin.
