The Kansas City Chiefs say running back
Priest Holmes will practice tomorrow for the first time since he
was injured two years ago.

And coach Herm Edwards says Holmes could play at Oakland this
weekend.

The Chiefs traded backup running back Michael Bennett to Tampa
Bay for draft picks today. That creates a spot behind starter Larry
Johnson.

Holmes suffered neck and spinal injuries against San Diego in
2005 when he was hit by Shawne Merriman.

Holmes is eligible to come off the inactive list this week. The
Chiefs have 21 days beginning tomorrow to activate Holmes, place
him on the injured reserve list or waive him.

Chiefs president Carl Peterson says he expects Holmes to be
activated sooner, rather than later.
