White Sox hire Royals' Buddy Bell for minor league instruction job

CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox have hired former Kansas
City Royals manager Buddy Bell as director of minor league
instruction.
The 56-year-old Bell was hired by the Royals in May 2005 and
announced in August he would step down as manager to spend more
time with his family.
The Royals previously said Bell would join their front office as
an adviser to general manager Dayton Moore.
Bell starts with the White Sox on November 1st.
He also managed the Detroit Tigers and the Colorado Rockies.
