WICHITA, Kan. -- The boot camp program at USA Martial Arts and Fitness challenges all who take it upon themselves to "change their lives" as owner Ron Brockman calls it. The program he designed seven years ago combines mixed martial arts with aerobic exercise and offers a different way to burn calories. Brockman says it's the best way.
"The big thing now is the kickboxing. Everybody's figured out that that is the way to burn calories as opposed to running, cycling, different things like that," Brockman says.
The classes use interval training to achieve results that Brockman says has his clients see quite quickly, but as in any type of exercise, commitment is key.
"If people are willing to make that commitment and make that change in their life, they can do it," Brockman says.
