Tamballini had a stellar outing on Friday, shooting a -5(66) with six birdie that was thanks in large part to his proficiency on the green and fairways.
He's at 12-under going into the weekend.
Three others trail Tamballini at -11...four others are at -8.
Derby's, Woody Austin barely advanced to the weekend at -2.

Earlier on Friday, former Wichita State golfer, Dustin Garza was disqualified from the Wichita Open due to filling out an incorrect scorecard.
The incident happened after Thursday's 1st round. Garza signed for a birdie(4) on 14, when he actually made par (5). He saw his score on the PGA Tour website and noticed that he made a scoring error. The former 2-time All-American at WSU immediately contacted Tournament officials on the mishap.
The Wichita Open was Garza's first as a professional...his 10th Nationwide Tour event in all.
