Roger Federer says he would like to see his "good friend" Tiger Woods back on the golf course after the golfer's personal life unraveled and he publicly apologized for cheating on his wife.
Federer, tennis' top-ranked player, said it has been hard for him to watch what has happened to Woods over the past three months, including his public apology last week, The Gulf News reported Monday.
Federer was in the Gulf city-state to play in the Dubai Championships, but he pulled out of the $2 million tournament Sunday because of a lung infection.
