WICHITA, Kan. – Trinity Academy will unveil its new stadium and track Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. when the Knights play the Conway Springs Cardinals for the Central Plains League football championship.
The $2.7 million project includes a multi-purpose stadium with 1,000 home seats and 600 visitor seats, artificial turf field, track and lights. New landscaping with a “Faith Walk” pathway links the school to its new athletic facilities. Two additional parking lots with a total of 320 spaces have also been added.
“It’s a beautiful facility,” said Matt Brewer, headmaster. “The stadium seating is made of paver stones rather than metal bleachers. The seating is so deep you can comfortably set a lawn chair on the rows and still have room for people to walk in front of you. It’s one of the nicest football stadiums in the state.”
The facility is debt-free. Donors have fully funded the $2.7 million project to date.
The following businesses have contributed to the project: ATG Sports, Elevated Paver Systems, Rick Wirths Construction, Linder & Associates, Viking Enterprises and Metro Xpress.
Trinity Academy is a college-prep, Christian high school with 325 students. The school is located at 12345 E. 21st St. N. in Wichita.
