State Football Titles On The Line Saturday

New state football champions will be crowned across Kansas today.

In class 6A, defending state champ Wichita Heights takes on Olathe South. Heights is unbeaten, while South has suffered one loss. The game will be played in Topeka.

Blue Valley goes for its second consecutive 5A title, taking on 10-2 Hutchinson. The game will be played in Emporia.

In class 4A in Salina, a new champion will be crowned. Rose Hill and Eudora enter the game at 12-1, in search of their first state title.

Traditional powers meet in class 3A in Hutchinson. Conway Springs takes on Silver Lake. The schools have a combined 13 titles.

In class 2-1A, LaCrosse tries to complete a perfect season, taking on 9-3 Centralia. The game will be played in Hays.

All games kickoff at 1:00 p.m. KAKE Sports will have cameras at each game. Watch for highlights tonight on KAKE and kake.com
