Wichita Northwest used a steady attack on the ground and returned a fumble 83 yards for a touchdown as the Grizzlies defeated Southeast, 41-20 Thursday night.
Northwest responded to a 70 yard touchdown run by Southeast running back Keshaun McGaugh when Tre Griffin fell victim to a devastating strip by Northwest's Romello Cotman, allowing defensive lineman Andres Ronquillo to scoop and score on the 65 yard return.
The Grizzlies rode that momentum to their second win of the season and their second win as many weeks. They defeated East 16-8 in Week 3. Southeast falls to 0-4.
