Class 3A Scott City scored the game's first 16 points then held on to stun Class 6A Garden City 16-14 Friday night in Garden City.

Defense dominated in the first half as the teams played to a scoreless tie.

The Beavers built a 16-0 lead in the second half. Garden City answered with two touchdowns, but a two point conversion to tie the game was no good. The Buffaloes missed a potentially game winning field goal in the final minute.

This marks the two schools, separated by 30 miles, have faced each other.
