Before Perry Ellis and the current day Wichita Heights basketball team that's dominated high school hoops in Kansas there was one squad that changed the way the game was played in the state.
Mark Nale was apart of the '77 Falcons team that was dubbed the "Greatest basketball team in Kansas high school history".
His book "Acrophobia 1977" tells that story in detail.
On that team were some of the greats in City League history. Antoine Carr, Darnell Valentine and Olian Alexander, all led by head coach Lafayette Norwood.
Nale's story tells about the team's success on the court, and how they spent time off the court, going to church, meals at the coach's house--all as a team.
The book will be available online this weekend at Acrophobia1977.com.
