Moundridge's Trey Unrau knows how to fill it up. Under the coaching of his dad Vance, the sophomore is averaging more than 28 points a game. That's near the best in the state. And thanks to his teammates' willingness to let him do his thing, Moundridge is near the best in the state as well. The most recent coaches poll had the Wildcats ranked seventh in class 2A.
"My teammates are so accepting of me and they're like older brothers, we're all really close", Trey Unrau said. "We have a unique set of upperclassmen that even last year when he started for us as a freshman that were fully accepting of him and his abilities, and realized we can be better with him", said Vance Unrau.
Trey is going viral too. If you search his name, the first thing you'll find is a youtube clip called "the contest". You'll see Trey sinking shots from half court.
Tuesday night Trey topped the 500 point mark for the season. He's just 11 points away from scoring 1,000 in his career. The state scoring record is 2,544.
