Missouri State scored five runs in the first inning and held on to beat Wichita State 7-0 at the Missouri Valley Conference baseball tournament in Springfield, MO.

Wichita State is eliminated from the tournament. The Shockers managed just two hits off of Bears' pitchers.

WSU starting pitcher Kris Gardner managed just 2/3rds of an inning.

The Shockers fall to 35-25 on the season.
