Tomorrow night, Butler Community College Grizzly fans will have more to cheer for than just the football team.
It is the debut of their brand new stadium.
Record crowds are expected for this opening football weekend as the Grizzlies kick off against the Blinn Buccaneers.
"There's a buzz on campus that you know, I haven't felt before," said Associate Athletic Director Matt Jacobs.
There are nine National Championships between the two programs.
"From what I've heard, this game's going to be pretty big, I know a lot of students are going," said Butler student Ben Marten.
The athletic department is expecting 8,000 people to attend the season opener, with standing room only.
"Lots of people talking about it, lots of people excited," said student Nikie Scates.
"The game event shirts have been selling like hot cakes," said bookstore worker Heidi Reddinger.
To find out what all the excitement's about, we took a tour of the $12 million facility.
"First thing you'll notice is our playing surface, it's the same kind of artificial surface that you'll see in a lot of NFL stadiums," Jacobs said.
But it's hard to focus on the turf, with the nearly $1 million video board right behind.
"It is the largest video board of any community college in the country," Jacobs said.
Fans won't even miss a second of the action standing in line at the concession stand.
In the skybox, one floor houses suites, the next for press.
"I think the coolest part of this third floor is our filming deck," Jacobs said.
Doors open Saturday at 5 p.m., with a stadium dedication at 5:45 p.m.
Kickoff, is at 7 p.m.
There will be post-game fireworks for fans to enjoy, as well as a number of other grand opening attractions.
