After winning a Big 12 title with Kansas State in 2012, Meshak Williams was signed to the Baltimore Ravens, with fellow Wildcat Arthur Brown. Only the Wichita native, Brown, remained with the team after training camp.
Williams' release from the team was taken hard as he found himself looking for another league to play football and continue his NFL dream. When the Salina Bombers came calling, they didn't want Williams to come alone, but to come with other Wildcats as well.
Williams has joined the 2013 Champions Professional Indoor Football League runner-up, along with former K-State safety Jarard Milo and defensive end Adam Davis, both from the 2012 Fiesta Bowl team. In Salina, the trio join up with numerous other former Big 12 standouts from K-State, KU, Iowa State and more.
