There are significant differences in Collin Klein between this season and last.
The run-first quarterback for Kansas State had thrown all of 18
passes the previous year, and was just trying to learn the offense
last season. He certainly hadn't become a leader.
Well, things have changed.
Klein threw for nearly 2,000 yards with 13 touchdowns and six
interceptions. He also ran for 1,141 yards and 27 touchdowns,
setting a Big 12 record for rushing scores in a single season.
In the process, he took Kansas State -- predicted to finish
eighth in the Big 12 -- to a 10-2 finish and the Cotton Bowl, where
the Wildcats lost to Arkansas.
Klein returns to the field Saturday for Kansas State's annual
spring game. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
