Kellen Sims was born ready.
Ready to play...ready to lead.
And last week, he led Derby to an improbable victory over former unbeaten and state title contender, Manhattan.
Kellen played sparingly what the Panthers narrowly escaped Northwest in the 2nd round. But after Derby's 3rd string quarterback went down, that's when Kellen sprung into action.
The stats tell the story. 376 total yards with three touchdowns. But to Kellen, it was a team effort.
