Colton miller is one of the 40 best 7th grade football players in the nation. That's why he and his team, the Gorillas of Haysville West Middle School are celebrating.
Headed to the most prestigious event for young football players across the country, facing the toughest competition he's seen, this football trenchworker is ready for the best of the best.
I've gone up against big kids before but i just gave it my all and i tried my best.
"He really never gave up on us. And just helped us the whole way through the season which is really great."
"He was like the father of our offensive line. He knew exactly what to do. He led us through our wins."
After playing as an Eastbay All American, Colton will be on college scout's radars all through high school, leading to a collegiate career he hopes is similar to his cousin, Dakota Zimmerman, who helped Iowa State upset OSU a month ago.
Colton: "I charged the field so it was pretty cool. We were at the second row on the 50 yard line."
Colton miller was there when greatness came to Iowa State. And he'll do everything he can to bring it with him to the Alamo Dome."
Colton: "Just go out there and play because i love football."
