This week's KAKE Sports Athlete of the Week is leading her team to state this week. Kapaun Mount Carmel senior Courtney Wells shot a 90 in tough conditions at the Winfield regional Monday to win Individual Medalist and help Kapaun secure a team regional championship. That comes with a trip to Hays for next Monday's state tournament.

Last season, Kapaun finished 5th and Wells finished 19th. This year she hopes to lead them to the top.
