The Wichita School Board and Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce are joining forces, to help provide subject expertise from area businesses.
The Business Education Innovation Partnership aims to help the district find efficiencies, and learn how to improve customer service.
John Allison, USD 259 Superintendent, said the district is trying to keep budget cuts from affecting the classroom.
“This will allow us to target our resources in the classroom to allow optimum investment in our students and student achievement,” Allison said. He also said the feedback from the business community will shape students, who go on to become loyal employees and customers.
Partnership subjects will include human resources, information technology, purchasing/warehousing and operations/maintenance.
