Wichita School board members will hear an update on the 2008 bond issue at tonight's meeting.
The Superintendent and board members will likely talk about the future of Southeast High School, located at Lincoln and Edgemoor. The bond issue showed $12.8 million budgeted for expansion and renovation to that building.
Also in the 2008 bond issue, a new 800-student high school was proposed in southeast Wichita on district land at 127th St. E. and Pawnee. The estimated cost for the new high school was budgeted at $37.75 million.
The $370 million bond issue passed in 2008 included the construction of six new schools, five of which opened in 2012.
