The Wichita School District met Monday night to explain the process of changing school boundaries for Wichita students.
A public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Southeast High School. The meeting will allow parents and other members of the public to join in on the district's process of school boundary changes.
Five new schools will open next fall as part of a $370 million bond issue. School boundaries will be changed, and a high school feeder pattern will be adjusted to make room for the new additions.
No final decisions have been made in regards to the boundary changes. Monday night's meeting was to help the board make recommendations, and explain the process to parents and the community.
