Local schools using tradition, paying tribute to 9/11 victims.
Students at Amelia Earhart Elementary in Goddard formed a human flag to mark the 10th anniversary. Students dressed in red, white and blue, to honor lives lost in the attacks.
"Everyone there that morning remembers what was going on and were in shock," said Natalie Rust, Amelia Earhart Principal. "The kids don't understand that part of it but we just want to keep history alive and show our patriotism."
The school started the tradition in 2002, after the first anniversary. The picture will displayed in the school.
