Thousands of students returned back to class in style, thanks to generous donations.
The Salvation Army said more than 8,800 students received supplies through the KAKEland School Supply Landslide. In addition to the supplies, each student also received a new back pack.
Hundreds of local families were in need of help this year due to the struggling economy. The supplies received through the program helped meet their requests.
Several thank you letters expressed gratitude to those who donated supplies. One letter read “there are not enough words to make you understand how much you’ve helped.”
KAKEland would like to thank those who helped make this year’s landslide a success.
