A Kansas school district will be starting their summer break early after a lack of winter weather.
The Winfield Board of Education voted earlier this week to end classes on May 15, instead of the following day. School officials approved the measure after the district only used one snow day last winter.
U.S.D. 465 had built two snow days into the 2011-2012 calendar year.
