A nearby gas leak forced the early dismissal of Maize South High School this morning.

Students were removed from the school and held in a football stadium not far from the school as a precaution.

A hazardous materials team told school administrators they did not want students back in the building until the gas leak is repaired.

Students can be picked up at Maize South Middle School. Students who drove to school won't be allowed to pick up their vehicles until the "all clear" is given.

A construction crew cut a gas line near 37th and Tyler this morning.
