A former Douglass school bus driver pleaded not guilty to charges connected with a bus that was swept into a creek. Morris Peterson entered the pleas on misdemeanor charges of endangering a child and reckless driving.
Ten students were onboard when the bus landed on its side on October 31st. The students climbed out an emergency exit and weren't hurt. Investigators determined Peterson misjudged the railing and drove off a bridge.
Peterson resigned from his job as a bus driver in November. His next court hearing is set for February 24th.
