Fort Hays State University is developing a new course for freshmen on trends that will shape the future.
The course is called Seven Revolutions.
Topics will include population, resource management and environmental stewardship, technological innovation and diffusion, and the flow of information and knowledge. The course will also look at economic integration, the nature and mode of conflict, and the challenge of governance.
Those trends were identified by the nonprofit Center for Strategic and International Studies as shaping the world and challenging world leaders through the year 2025 and beyond.
Officials with the group visited the Hays university earlier this month to discuss the project with faculty, staff and students.
