The driver of a vehicle transporting Andover Pre-K students from school has been taken to the hospital following an accident. The accident happened at Kellogg and Andover Road at 3:51 p.m.

Butler County dispatchers said the driver of a suburban belonging to Andover Schools suffered a medical problem in the seconds before the accident. She was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Andover school spokesperson Keturah Austin said the driver was stopped at a light when she "tapped" the car in front of her. Austin said both cars were driveable after the incident, with one sustaining no visible damage.

Three Andover pre-Kindergarten students were in the suburban at the time of the accident. Austin said all occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Two of the students were picked up at the scene by their parents. As a precaution, the third student was taken by his parents to his private doctor after complaining of a slight headache.
