Kansas Attorney General Steve Six's office has acknowledged it was involved in the disclosure of a Kansas State audit finding numerous instances of questionable transactions.

The Kansas Board of Regents initially declined to release the findings, claiming an exemption to the state's open-records law. But after the Manhattan Mercury filed an open records complaint, Six's office reviewed the audit.

The audit was dated April 27, but only made public Friday. The AG's office isn't investigating the allegations within the audit. The Riley County Attorney says his office isn't either.
