Kindergarten Harassment?

School Desk

Natural curiosity is something every four and five year old has. But that curiosity has prompted Booth Early Childhood Development Center in southeast Wichita to separate the boys from the girls during recess.

School officials say some of the kids may have gone beyond child's play, to borderline sexual harassment.

The separation time isn't permanent. It's being done in hopes of limiting the amount of aggression and curiosity the students have.

School officials sent a newsletter home to parents, outlining what is sexual harassment and what parents may want to tell their child about what's appropriate play, and what isn't.

School officials say if your child tells you something has happened to them at school that you deem inappropriate, you should notify the school immediately.
