Stay up-to-date with KAKE News:

For most parents, safety is a big concern.

Often times while parents are inside children play outside alone. Now, your child's knowledge of safety can be put to the test.

The test is called "Test your child's street smarts in three minutes," and there are 10 questions to answer.

Here are some tips to keep safe:

  • Before your children play outside they should always know to refuse candy, money, any other gifts from strangers and invitations to see their pets.

  • Always take a friend when going to the park, playground, or any public place, and get permission before leaving home.

  • Never go into a public restroom alone.

If you would like more tips on how to improve your child's street smarts you can call the crime prevention unit at the Wichita Police Department at 268-4101.

Take the test.
