Valley Center School Buses Vandalized
January 20--Many Valley Center students had to find a different way to school this morning. Someone slashed tires on 24 school buses overnight.
In all, 37 tires were damaged. Crews spent most of the morning replacing the tires, and bus service returned to normal for the ride home from school.
The vandalism happened between 10 p.m. Thursday and 4:30 a.m.. The problems left 1200 kids without a ride.
The damage is estimated at $13,000. There are no suspects, but superintendent Mike Meier is confident the person responsible will be caught.
