Wichita State University student Michael Atapka has admitted to law enforcement officials he has been having sexual relationships with two underage girls in Saline County.

The 23-year-old is a former a member of Wichita State's Student Government Association. Just last year he ran for student body president.

Atapka is now in the Saline County jail. He has been charged with seven counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, seven counts of criminal sodomy and one count of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.

The mother of one of the victims found evidence Atapka was communicating with her daughter over the Internet. She turned it over to a law enforcement officer at the girl's school.
