Newton school officials held a groundbreaking ceremony today to kick off the first of six school district construction projects.

Northridge Elementary School will include larger classrooms, and new technology. Voters approved the $30 million bond for school improvements last year. "A lot of things have to fall in place before you get to this point and it's the first of our six projects that will be underway", said Newton Superintendent John Morton.
