Senate Lowers School Starting Age For Kids

The Senate passes a bill requiring children
to attend kindergarten, and lowers the age for kids to start school
from seven to six. The measure exempts children from attending
kindergarten on religious grounds or if the parents sign a written
objection. The bill now goes to the House.
