A soldier who recently returned from Iraq and Kuwait visited with his pen pals at a northeast Wichita elementary school on Friday.

Army Specialist Justin Toney is on leave from his post in Iraq. He's been exchanging letters with 4th grade students at Gammon elementary school.

During Friday's visit, they peppered him with questions, wanting to know about the army, his job, what the weather is like in Iraq.

Class teacher Anne Woolsey had Toney as a student for two years. They've been friends ever since.
