Some south Wichita schools were on lockdown for more than an hour Tuesday morning. Police say the parent of a 14-year-old student found a written threat at home. The note threatened another Truesdell Middle School student, so the parent called the school to alert officials.

As a result, nearby Woodman elementary, Kelly elementary and Saint Anne's School were also put on lockdown.

Wichita police were in the buildings and out in the surrounding area.

The student arrived back at school around dismissal time -- expecting to be picked up. That's when police took the teen into custody for questioning.
