An accident involving a school bus happened just before four this afternoon at Greenwich and Waterman.

The school bus, carrying students from Coleman Middle School, was in a turning lane when a green truck pulled out of a parking lot, ran through traffic and crunched the front of the bus.

Two children were taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

Some of the students were picked up by their parents. Others were put on another bus.

While there were no serious injuries, many parents are on alert after so many recent accidents. They are concerned about the safety of their children.

There have been quite a few bus accidents in the last few weeks in and around the Wichita area. Durham School Services, the company that runs the busses for USD 259, would not say exactly how many accidents Wichita busses have been involved in.
