KAKEland's Golden Apple Award recognizes Wichita-area teachers who have gone beyond the call of duty for our children.
Weekly winners are featured on KAKE News every Saturday night at 6:00pm, and receive a Papa John's Pizza party for their classroom and $250 cash from Papa Johns, $250 cash from Haddock Computer Center is awarded to the principal of the school to use as they see fit, winning teachers are featured in the Davis Moore ad in the Wichita Eagle, and of course they receive the prestigious Golden Apple award.
Eligible nominees include Pre-K through 12th grade teachers in the Wichita area who inspire and motivate students to great heights in education.
We’re looking for individuals who demonstrate creative teaching, develop youth community programs, or any other activities that add greater value to learning, and have an exceptional attitude despite adversity.
To nominate a teacher who currently teaches Pre-K through grade 12, get an official entry form to print, visit any Wichita Papa Johns Pizza, or enter online and follow nomination instructions.
