Shrimp and Peach Satue' - May 14, 2004

"Cooking with KAKE" - Recipe of the Week
Ingredients:


  • 1 Tbls Butter

  • 12 Peeled and Deveined Shrimp

  • 1/2 Cup Sliced Peaches

  • 2 Tbls Diced Red Onion

  • 2 Tbls Fresh Chopped Cilantro

  • 1/2 teas Salt

  • 1/4 teas Black Pepper

  • >li>1/4 teas White Pepper
Directions:
Marinate for Shrimp

  • 2 Cups Peach Nectar

  • 1/2 Cup Franks Red Hot Sauce

  • Soak Shrimp in Marinate over night



  1. Place butter in a saute' pan add onions, simmer for about 1 minute.

  2. Add shrimp, salt, white and black pepper, saute' until shrimp are beginning to turn bright orange in color, about 2 minutes.

  3. Add peaches and cilantro.

  4. Simmer until peaches are hot and tender.

  5. Serve over rice.


This dish is very light. Hints of flavor from all of the ingredients should be apparent. It is an excellent dish for early summer. Enjoy!
