Vera Cruz Sauce - March 5, 2004

"Cooking with KAKE" - Recipe of the Week
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Pico de Gallo
  • 1/3 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 fresh lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Water as needed
  • Directions:
    1.) Heat olive oil in a sauté pan.

    2.) Add Pico de Gallo and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

    3.) Add salsa and continuing to sauté.

    4.) Squeeze in juice from the lime sections.

    5.) Add sugar.

    6.) Allow flavors to blend, sauté together for another minute.

    7.) Add water if mixture becomes thick.

    8.) Place on your favorite fish or chicken.
